Other platforms: Intel Macs and Linux are not supported. TradeClip needs an Apple Silicon Mac or a 64-bit Windows PC. Every build listed here is the one the app itself updates from.

Requirements

Before you install.

Windows 10 or Windows 11, x64
Windows 10 version 2004 or newer, or Windows 11, on a 64-bit Intel or AMD PC. The installer includes the app runtime, capture helper and video tools. No Rust, Node.js or developer tools are needed.
Mac with Apple Silicon
M1 or later, running macOS 13 Ventura or newer. Intel Macs are not supported. Live window previews in the picker need macOS 14 or later; capture itself works on macOS 13 Ventura.
Disk space for clips
Clips and original footage are saved in your chosen recording folder as ordinary media files. Leave room for original segments, editor previews, exports and application updates.
A TradeClip account
Sign-in, licence checks and clip counting are online; recording is not. The app keeps working for up to 72 hours without a connection and tells you when it needs to go online again. 7-day free trial, no card required.
Capture permissions
Choose the window or display to capture in the app. On macOS, grant Screen Recording permission when prompted. Microphone and camera tracks are optional.

Getting started

Set up your first session.

Install the app, sign in and check your capture permissions.

  1. Install on Windows

Download and run the installer. It installs TradeClip for your Windows account with the runtime, capture helper and video tools included. This preview is unsigned, so Windows may report the publisher as unverified.

  2. Install on a Mac

Open the .dmg and drag TradeClip to Applications. Eject the disk image, then open TradeClip from Applications. The build is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple, so it opens the normal way.

  3. Sign in

Choose Sign in. The app opens your browser so you sign in on the website and approve this computer; the app never shows a password field of its own. If the browser does not open, the app shows the address and a code to type in any browser on this computer.

  4. Choose your trading window

Open your trading chart and select its window in TradeClip. On macOS, grant Screen Recording in System Settings if prompted. Start a short test capture to check the selected window before recording a trade.

  5. Optional: microphone and camera

Off by default. Turn these tracks on in Settings if you want your voice or webcam in a clip, and approve the operating system’s permission prompts.

Updates

Updates arrive in the app.

The installed app checks for updates automatically and downloads new releases in the background. Updates install when you quit, or choose Restart and install when one is ready; you can also choose Check for updates in the app menu. This page reads the same release feed, so the version above is the one your app will move to.
